The Gambler

When I was a kid, I hoped I would grow up to be famous so that I could make a celebrity appearance on The Muppet Show. Singing with the muppets seemed like the ultimate fun experience.

But I soon outgrew such childish fantasies--now I wish I were famous so that I could have my own action figure or mass-produced doll.

Anyway, for whatever reason, this Kenny Rogers appearance is probably the musical number I remember best from the show.

You really do gotta know when to walk away, know when to run. It's as true today as it was then.
