Molasses Bars

I found this linked from the Kitchn today (posted on a website called Country Living, City Style).

Yum!! They look so good, I'll have to try to make them soon.

1 1/2 cups of white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup and 2 tablespoons of margarine
2 small eggs
1 1/2 cups of raisins
1/2 cup of molasses
3 1/4 cups of flour
2 rounded tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
Dash of allspice
375 degrees for 13-15 minutes

Cream the sugars and the margarine together. Add both eggs. Whisk dry ingredients together. Add molasses to the sugar/margarine mix. Combine dry and wet mixtures. Add raisins. Divide into 2 balls. From each ball form 3 long rolls on cookie sheet. Bake until the edges are cooked and the middle is slightly underdone. Slice each roll into 8-10 squares.
