I don't watch American Idol, but 62-year-old "General" Larry Platt's audition has been making the Internet rounds, and I have a weakness for truly bad performers. Anyone who auditions for that show with an original song entitled Pants On the Ground is okay in my book.
You're not going to buy *his* CD too, are you?
ReplyDeleteNah...for me, he doesn't have quite the star appeal that William Hung had.
ReplyDeleteBut he is going to appear on the View and I am curious to see how that goes.
Those View ladies are like the TV equivalent of people in office jobs without much to do...
I saw this... the General is a very endearing man. Especially because I agree with him that people should keep their pants up in most circumstances. Maybe his next song can be about how people should keep their skirts and kilts DOWN, too, instead of flapping up around their hinder when the wind blows. If my brother Bucky wore pants, they would always be on the ground, and if he wore a kilt it would be up around his head, and I think he should listen to General Platt because he certainly doesn't listen to me.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's lucky that Bucky doesn't wear pants. Meanwhile, Frannie, may I say that you always look stylish and cool--just like a supermodel.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the General's sartorial message as well. I think he should write a song about how stumpy girls should stop wearing those low-rise pants that reveal their crackage.
